Morning at Idroscalo of Milan with Michele Colapinto Fishing for Rudd, Roach, Gardon, Catfish and bleak with a 14 gr bodied and about 2 meters of depht. Like bait maggots, little worms and maize; like grounbait, the Dani 2000 special yellow grounbait for Gardon and roaches. So many fish in the net for Michele Colapinto this morning: he has caught about 45 fish on 3 hours. |  | |

the first of the year Usually
we go to fishing first day of the year (because who don't catch the first of the
year don't catch all over the year!!) and this year we have decided to go fishing
for trout at Lago Bellaria, about 15 km from Milan. Beautiful fishing day we have
this morning!!! Me and my old friends Maurizio Lugli and the "confusion bros"
Stefano and Michele Colapinto, went to the lake at 07.00 in the morning; so cold
(about 2° c) and a little bit of wind ....but.....we can to fish all the same.
We have rods 5 mt. long and 0.14 line diameter in the reels. Little float, only
3/5 little plummets and a little hooks; like bait we have salmon and trout eggs.
We launch the float about 10 meters from the shoreline fishing 1 meters down the
water and wait........ We have caught, with this system, 23 raimbow trout and
1 brown trout (not big, about 200/400 grams): 3 trout Stefano Colapinto , 5 Michele
Colapinto , 6 Maurizio Lugli and 10 Claudio( I was "high hook of the day!!!))
In winter, in some little lake of Northern Italy, trout are near the shoreline
to put down the eggs and are so hungry this period!!! But we are not only crazy
fishermen presents: about 100 fishermen at the lake this morning ( there are so
many crazy fishermen in Milan!!). |

| PLUNGE
COMPETITION AT That it must bathe us up to the marrow he put in preventive, after takes a look of the meteo conditions, but of drown no literally if he would have imagined! It was being one darker day and more tempestuous, lightnings and thunders and it one more incessant rain has accompanied we from the ballots up to the prize ceremony. More slippery bank and liable to landslides, more given to all the competitors a more agile disposition of feet and above all the fishing on the place from competition. And it to this point enters in action the plunges team specialized of Nord2000 Milan: it begins the show Maurizio Lugli that, it to competition doesn't still initiate and with contempt of the danger, put his footrest really near the water, setting both the feet in one sod that subsides doing one that Maurizio lavishes in a "[carpiato plunge" (coefficient 3,5) with more adjunct "[bong]" of the footrest] that was dragging on the cranium!!! It finishes the show the more subscribed that, to elegant competition, it finishes ways in water in more classical mode; gliding on the grass stomped during the competition while it assays of extract the fishing rod-pod from the earth and it enters in canal (looks like a launching of a new Boat): feet, legs, torso, neck!!!! But the crackerjack truth has been without doubtful Colapinto Michele, that in more beautiful half of competition departs from his fishing foot-board, it detaches, and it directly enters in water with the head (coefficient 4, BRAVO!!!) immediately resurfacing for support the fishing seat boxes that was following the owner in the canal!! |

Our
friend Twan van Berkel make a record in the "Kings of Clubs"!!!! This is his report of the match Kings of Clubs is a fishing competition over 4 days . When you win your section you get 1 point second 2 points , after 4 days fishing you take the best 3 matches .. do you have equal points with someone else , the highest weight wins ... After 2 days fishing and not having a good place the 3 day i was on a number i thought the breams wanted to come .... They came ... lost 4 of them !! all 2,5 kg or more ... one of them i lost on the groundbait ... gone ,.. al of them .. so i catched 11 kg roach with the feeder in remaining 2 hours .. ( after the 4 days i saw how important that was ) The 4 days i had a place nr 29 , i had been there for 2 years and know if i wanna have a change i must fish with a rod lenght 4 mtr ... otherwise i couldn't win from the profs ( sponsord anglers) One problem .. i was ill .. been to the toilet for 10 times that morning , something in the food ... I have been wandering around with my fishing plateau to find a place where i could fish with 4 mtr , on a spot of 3,5 meter in lenght ..!! After 45 minutes i found a little spot 4 meter into the water where i could fish 4 mtr .. 3,80 mtr to the bottom .. so only 20 cm from the float to the top . The river was quiet so i could fish with a 1 gr float , but i fished with 6 gr float to be faster .... Line 20/00 and 16/00 to the hook , hook 10 ande 4 at first white maggots . lateron red.. Grounbait .. my own recepie for roach , two x 15 ltr and 4 kf reserve , 4 kg hennep and 4 ltr casters.. After each drift i put in some grounbait . The third drift a had my first roach ... for a long time a catched about 80 a hour 4 fish = one kg !!! roach !! For three times it was still for 5 minutes , i believe pike .. And at the end of the match i must throw 2 balls every drift .. After 5 hours fishing i caught 85,330 kg roach and some hybrids .. wow !! and had left ... one pound grounbait ......pffff .. All the fish catched with only two hooks , the first wasn't sharp enough so i put on a other ... That is the new record off the kings of clubs ...proberly standing for the 2 - 3 years to come .. If i had a sponsor and due to that better equipment .. who knows......... Twan |

| Fishing with Vince, our U.S. friend!!! We were a little bit worried about the fishing place were was possible to catch fish with Vince, our US friend, because in Italy the fish are too small if we compare them with the US fish. The Italian big fish are small also for the baits.....in US. Our intention was to try to find a right mix of people, fishing place and big fish as match as possible and due to this fact we had put together some of our major crazy friends (one by one we are normal but all together .....), the little lake that we have choose was very nice and for the fish we have chosen the carp. The components of the team were Maurizio (myself) and Claudio the inseparable friends of adventures, then SuperMario famous as SuperPippo (Walt Disney) PierCarlo the intriguing perfumer of Padova street and then the Plastic Cousin that catch only the plastic trout in a small lake around Milan. Wake up early and all in front of Peppino shop at 6.30 a.m. to buy all the necessary baits and, after the usual coffee break, we were in a five minutes at our lake. All was organise for Vince, a competition stool was placed, and one of our very strong road, 6 meter long, was armed with all the necessary (line, float and hook). The hook was armed with the baits and the suggestion for Vince was: when the float disappear under the water you have to pull up the road!! Was very difficult for Vince to hold the rod because it's length prevent every movements. Anyway, after three o four times that the float was disappear under the water the exclamation of Vince was: "Ooh cunning fish...." During this time the Roubasienne was prepared by myself and Claudio and a lot of carps were catch from the other components of our group. Was the day of the Plastic men (it's nick name) because it's line was terrible and very bud the float was broken but in any case he caught a lot of fish, the SuperMario uncompromising as usual before put in the water it's line said: "Pay attention Carps in the lake, if you don't heat may baits you will stay without food" and (as usual) a lot of Carps stay without food..... The perfumer PierCarlo opened a maize box at a lot of flavour and, after inebriate the fish, he catch some carps. At an certain time an explosion in the voice of Vince said us that one fish was catch, a lot of emotion and clamour was around Vince and after a few minutes the carp was in it's hands for a lot of pictures as a star. When the fish was out of water the first exclamation from Vince was: "Minchia" (typical Italian expression because we have to remember the origin of Vince >>>>>> Sicily). This situation enjoy a lot all of us because Vince was very happy ..... For me was a terrible fishing day because I didn't catch nothing, Claudio enjoy itself because near to me he catch fish and, after every capture, all of "my friends" bring the fish under my eyes in order to show me the aspect of them (bastard friends). Near to 12.00 o clock we decided to take a drink before lunch and with the machine we had reach one of the famous place for our scope. A lot of chips and a mountains of a little meat-ball were on our table in a few minutes and six or seven turn with Campari and white wine were necessary to eat all of them.. After that all of us come back at home and now..... we are waiting for an other Vince's visit, our American friend... |

| I was fishing on bream in a little river nearbye called de "essche stroom" at that point it's about 2 mtr deep and at that time a heavy drift . I fished with a feeder drennan heavy and a 50 gr feeder. In about two anb a half hour i catched 25 bream , all in lenght 47 up 57 cm . You see it was a nice day without any wind ... a day to remember . Greatings and a lot of fish for my italian fishing friends. Twan |
